Four stylish pop art prints featuring Gareth Hunt as Mike Gambit from the The New Avengers collection by Art & Hue, available in three sizes & many colour options.
Also available as part of a group of eight as well as individually.
Whilst John Steed still participated in missions, he became more of a mentor which left Gambit & Purdey to take on action duties in “The New Avengers“.
Born in London, Gareth Hunt joined the Merchant Navy before training at drama school which led to rep with the Bristol Old Vic, Royal Court, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and the National Theatre when it was based at The Old Vic until the new Brutalist complex opened on the south bank in 1976.
Some of Gareth’s early credits include the “For the Love of Ada” spin-off film with Irene Handl & Wilfred Pickles, “Space: 1999” with Martin Landau & Barbara Bain, “Bless This House” with Sid James, and as footman Trooper Frederick Norton in “Upstairs, Downstairs” with Jean Marsh & Gordon Jackson, where he was spotted by The New Avengers’ producers which landed him the role of Mike Gambit in “The New Avengers“.
Gareth Hunt is also well known to many for his trademark fist-shake to reveal coffee beans in the long-running instant coffee campaign where he was joined by Diane Keen & Una Stubbs.
Also available as part of a group of eight as well as individually.

Making its world premiere on Irish station RTÉ on the 28th of September 1976, The New Avengers’ British debut was on the HTV channel at 7.50pm on the 17th of October 1976, then broadcast on the Thames channel on the 19th ahead of other ITV networks on the 22nd. The show revived Patrick Macnee‘s character John Steed from The Avengers and introduced Joanna Lumley as Purdey (named after a British gunmaker) & Gareth Hunt as Gambit.
Each print is a heartfelt homage to the show’s unique blend of action, wit, and retro flair, reimagined in Art & Hue’s signature pop art style. The New Avengers collection is available in three sizes & many colour options, because one size doesn’t fit all when you’re thwarting diabolical masterminds.
