Believed to have been carved in the 12th century, the Lewis chessmen were discovered on a beach in 1831 and subsequently exhibited by the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland on the 11th of April in the same year.
A stylish mod Chess girl and a cascading board, detailing the position of the Queen’s gambit moves, complete the collection.
Exclusively by Art & Hue, the Chess pop art collection comes in 3 sizes & 19 colours, all printed on museum-quality archival card of 310gsm, made from 100% cotton, with fine-art pigment inks for longevity.
