Nona Gaprindashvili – stylish pop art of the chess grandmaster.

In 1978, Georgian chess player Nona Gaprindashvili was the first women to be awarded the FIDE title of Grandmaster.

The five-time winner of the Women’s Soviet Championship, Nona also competed in men’s tournaments such as the Hastings Challengers tournament which she won in 1964.
