Stylish pop art print of Charlotte Rampling.

Renowned actress Charlotte Rampling began her career as an icon of London’s Swinging Sixties before taking on experimental arthouse films to critical acclaim.

Charlotte’s first credited film appearance is in the pacey crime comedy “Rotten to the Core” with Ian Bannen. The film premiered at the Rialto Cinema in London on the 22nd of July 1965.

One of Charlotte’s early TV roles was in “The Avengers” episode “The Superlative Seven” with Patrick Macnee, Diana Rigg, Donald Sutherland, & Brian Blessed. A fan favourite, it’s rumoured that her character (called Hana Wilde) was considered as a new partner for Steed once Diana Rigg decided to leave the show but, in the event, the character’s name resurfaced, as Hannah Wilde, in “The Avengers” stage play with Simon Oates & Kate O’Mara.

Other film credits include the seminal 60s film “Georgy Girl” with Alan Bates; “The Night Porter” with Dirk Bogarde; “Asylum” with Richard Todd, Sylvia Syms, Herbert Lom, & Britt Ekland; “The Long Duel” with Harry Andrews & Andrew Keir; “Zardoz” with Sean Connery; “Sherlock Holmes in New York” with Roger Moore & Patrick Macnee; “Foxtrot” with Max von Sydow; “Orca” with Richard Harris; “The Verdict” with Milo O’Shea; “Night Train to Lisbon” with Christopher Lee; alongside Tom Courtenay in “45 Years” for which Rampling was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar; “Red Sparrow”; and “Dune”.

An official collaboration with Studiocanal, this print is part of the Leading Ladies pop art collection, featuring Art & Hue’s signature halftone style (halftone is an age-old technique that uses dots to make up the printed image, similar to newspapers or comic books).
