Sinéad Cusack pop art print
Acting is clearly in the Cusack genes. Born in Dublin, Sinéad Cusack has taken on the family trade (her parents are the actors Cyril Cusack & Maureen Cusack) as have Sinéad’s sisters (Sorcha, Niamh, & Catherine) as well as Sinéad’s son, the actor Max Irons.
A respected classical actress renowned for her theatre work, Cusack was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and received two Tony Award nominations, and five Olivier Award nominations, for her work on stage.
Sinéad’s first leading film role was in “Hoffmann” with Peter Sellers, Jeremy Bulloch, & David Lodge. Featuring one of Seller’s more serious performances as a not-particularly likeable character (so much so that he apparently tried to make the film disappear), Sinéad Cusack’s ingénue finds her inner strength to handle the cards she has been dealt.
Some of Sinéad Cusack’s other film credits include “Jules Verne’s Rocket to the Moon” with Dennis Price & Terry-Thomas; “David Copperfield” with Richard Attenborough, Laurence Olivier, Michael Redgrave, & her father Cyril Cusack; “The Rise & Rise of Michael Rimmer” with Ronnie Corbett, John Cleese, & Valerie Leon; “Tam-Lin” with Joanna Lumley, Jenny Hanley, & Madeline Smith; “Revenge” with James Booth & Joan Collins; & “V for Vendetta”, to name a few.
TV credits include “The Persuaders!” with Roger Moore, Tony Curtis, & Sam Kydd; “Playboy of the Western World” with Pauline Delaney; and “French & Saunders Live”, a recording of Dawn & Jennifer‘s live tour.
As well as this pop art portrait, Sinéad Cusack is included on the Irish Film Map print, a stylish map of Ireland with Irish actors & actresses.
