Ray Cooney’s play “Chase Me Comrade” was adapted for the screen as “Not Now, Comrade” in which Carol Hawkins’ character of a stripper falls for a defecting ballet dancer. Also starring June Whitfield & Michele Dotrice, the energetic farce was the follow-up film from “Not Now, Darling” starring Julie Ege & Barbara Windsor.
