London Launch Screening at Riverside Cinema

For dedicated agents, the mission began on the 9th of November, the day before the 4k release.

Studiocanal held an exclusive launch event at The Riverside Cinema hosted by the BFI‘s Dick Fiddy with special guests Cyd Child (the fight arranger on The New Avengers who also performed the stunts of Emma Peel, Tara King & Purdey, and has recently released a book about her time on the shows, available via Amazon), Samuel Clemens (the son of The Avengers creative & The New Avengers creator Brian Clemens, as well as a writer and director himself) who contributed many great extras and bonus content for the 4k release (plus finding the time to release his feature film debut “The Drowned“, now available to watch via Amazon),

and Rodney Marshall (the son of The Avengers and “Public Eye” writer Roger Marshall) who has written numerous books on The Avengers and cult TV shows, available from Amazon.

The audience got to experience the stunning 4K restoration on the big screen with an episode of the newly restored show plus a couple of the new extras included in the box-set.

Art & Hue couldn’t make the great occasion but was glad to be included in absentia by sending pop art for the Q&A panel and audience quiz. Thanks to Dick Fiddy for the great images of the special guests with their prints!
