Bette’s appeared in films including “The Rose”, for which she was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar, and hilarious comedies “Ruthless People” and “Outrageous Fortune”.
Initially nicknamed “Bathhouse Betty” thanks to the Ansonia Hotel where she performed accompanied by Manilow on the piano, she became the Divine Miss M and went on to release many hits including “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “From a Distance” to name just a couple.
