RIP Dame Mary Quant

Saddened at the news that mod queen Dame Mary Quant has died at the age of 93.

Born to Welsh parents in London, Quant symbolised the revolution in women’s clothing with her shop Bazaar on the King’s Road.

Her clothes were unlike anything else that had come before and bought by young girls who didn’t want to dress like their society mothers.

The revolutionary designer reinvented womenswear & provided the wardrobe for stylish 60s icon Nancy Kwan who redefined style in the 1963 film “The Wild Affair”.

She leaves behind an incredible legacy of making womenswear fun, accessible, young, and stylish.
