Stylish pop art print which reimagines the film poster of “Up Pompeii” starring Frankie Howerd, Julie Ege, & Madeline Smith.

The film version of the television sitcom was written by Talbot Rothwell, the screenwriter of many Carry On films, and also starred Barbara Murray. Opening at London’s ABC Cinema on Shaftesbury Avenue on the 18th of March 1971, the box office success of the first film “Up Pompeii” led to two further cinematic outings, “Up the Chastity Belt”, and “Up the Front”.
