The Morris range includes stylish graphic prints of the Morris family homes, including this print of Red House in Bexleyheath, designed and built by William Morris for him and his new wife Jane.

Co-designed with the architect Philip Webb, the house was completed in 1860. William & Jane’s two daughters were born at Red House, Jenny and May, in 1861 & 1862 respectively. Whilst living in the home, Morris formed the design company, Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co., in 1861 and created his earliest wallpaper designs.

The Morris family’s designs have transcended their historical inspirations and context, continuing to find a place in modern interior design.

The Morris legacy lies in its influence on design, the advocacy for craftsmanship, and the efforts to create more ethically-produced goods within the constraints of the industrial age. Morris was pioneering in the advocacy for social and environmental concerns, and the integration of art into everyday life.

The Morris family’s work helped shape the Arts and Crafts movement and left a lasting legacy in the world of interior design.
