Patsy Stone
Patsy Stone, 39, is the tough fashion magazine editor, with Ivana’s beehive hairstyle, who enabled and encouraged Ab Fab Edina Monsoon to shop, drink, smoke, and party, all whilst skiving off work.
Living above Oddbins or in Eddie’s utility room, the intimidating “fash-mag slag” frequently created trouble for all those around her, from falling asleep with a cigarette to selling her friend’s daughter.
With Kathy Burke as Magda, Patsy’s editor-in-chief at Ella magazine, the “international beauty and style guru” considers her role of fashion editor to be so influential that one snap of her fingers can alter hemlines (although in later years, snapping fingers might have been tricky).
Whether intimidating her fellow Ella magazine editors by wearing her status-symbol Chanel couture suit (“let them kiss my buttons”) or smoking on the roof of a New York skyscraper in a Betty Jackson jacket, Patsy was always immaculate in her classic wardrobe which included pieces by Joseph, Jean Muir, Jasper Conran, Hervé Leger & Bruce Oldfield.
