Maggie Prescott
Art & Hue’s pop art illustration is an homage to the iconic fictional fashion editor Maggie Prescott of Quality magazine in “Funny Face”, available in three sizes & 21 colour options.

The exuberant Maggie Prescott in “Funny Face” is one of film’s most iconic fashion editors. Portrayed by Kay Thompson in the film which stars Fred Astaire & Audrey Hepburn, her joyous pizzazz is infectious.

Her enduring performance in “Funny Face”, with her unique renditions of now-classic songs, is a firm favourite amongst fashion-fans.

Maggie Prescott character of Quality magazine’s fashion editor implores us to “think pink” for that quelque chose, perhaps inspired by a memo once sent by Diana Vreeland to Bazaar staff to say “today let’s think pig white!” and her proclamation that “pink is the navy blue of India”.

A singer, vocal coach, composer, & vocal arranger behind the scenes, Kay Thompson’s other credits include “Lost in a Harem” with Bud & Lou, “The Kid from Brooklyn” with Virginia Mayo, Vera-Ellen, Steve Cochran & Eve Arden, and “The Dick Powell Theatre” with Carolyn Jones & Mickey Rooney.
