Pure Strictly ballroom glamour, Art & Hue’s reworking of the original film poster for “Let’s Be Happy” features the stylish Mid-century illustrations of Tony Martin & Vera-Ellen in their glitzy showbiz splendour.
Filmed on location at Edinburgh as well as at Elstree Studios, Tony Martin cuts a dash in his white tuxedo alongside the high-kicking glamour of showgirl Vera-Ellen (and there’s a small cameo appearance by Gordon Jackson). Based on the stage play “Jeannie” by Aimee Stuart, the film that was to become Vera-Ellen’s final acting role premiered in London on the 9th of May 1957.
Available in A4, A3, and A2 sizes to fit standard-size picture frames. Please note that black frame is not included – for a guide on choosing a frame size take a look here.
An official collaboration with Studiocanal, this print is part of the collection of stylish pop art prints inspired by film adaptations of stage plays, and features Art & Hue’s signature halftone style (halftone is an age-old technique that uses dots to make up the printed image, similar to newspapers or comic books).
