With captain W.G.Grace highlighted in colour in the middle of his fellow players, the team included Charles Kortwright, Jack Mason, Archie Maclaren, James Dixon, Sammy Woods, Andrew Stoddart, Charlie Townsend, Stanley Jackson, Teddy Wynyard, & Gregor McGregor, with umpire William West.
The three day match at Lord’s Cricket Ground, won by the Players team by 137 runs, took place on the 18th, 19th,& 20th of July 1898.
