Buffalo Soldier Pop Art
Stylish pop art print of a Buffalo Soldier, part of the Gingham West collection by Art & Hue.

Originally the name given to members of the 10th Cavalry of the U.S. Army, Buffalo Soldiers became the moniker synonymous with all African American regiments created in 1866.

Whilst the Buffalo Soldiers experienced some racism in the U.S. Army, they were respected by many which led to their reputation as exceptional soldiers.

The look of the Buffalo soldiers of the American West partly inspired Vivienne Westwood’s Autumn/Winter 1982/83 collection of raw-cut buffalo hides, full fabrics, ponchos, and multiple layers, an era that still inspires the designer’s oversized ginghams and Pharrell’s meme-generating Buffalo hat.

Available in A4, A3, and A2 sizes to fit standard-size picture frames. Please note that black frame is not included – for a guide on choosing a frame size take a look here.

This print is part of the Gingham West pop art collection, featuring Art & Hue’s signature halftone style (halftone is an age-old technique that uses dots to make up the printed image, similar to newspapers or comic books).

Also available as part of a group of four, and a group of 10.
