Stylish pop art of the cult Seventies spy show with Steed, Purdey & Gambit
Featuring the suave John Steed, the effortlessly elegant Purdey (with her trend-setting hairstyle), and the dashing Mike Gambit, this new collection of stylish pop art is inspired by the charm and sophistication of the cult spy series.
Making its world premiere on Irish station RTÉ on the 28th of September 1976, The New Avengers’ British debut was on the HTV channel at 7.50pm on the 17th of October 1976, then broadcast on the Thames channel on the 19th ahead of other ITV networks on the 22nd. The show revived Patrick Macnee‘s character Steed from The Avengers and introduced Joanna Lumley as Purdey (named after a British gunmaker) & Gareth Hunt as Gambit.
Each print is a heartfelt homage to the show’s unique blend of action, wit, and retro flair, reimagined in Art & Hue’s signature pop art style. The collection is available in three sizes & many colour options, because one size doesn’t fit all when you’re thwarting diabolical masterminds.
Whether you’re a lifelong fan of The New Avengers or simply appreciate 70s style, the collection is an official collaboration with STUDIOCANAL to offer a dash of retro intrigue to any interior.
Bring Steed’s unshakable calm, Purdey’s poise, and Gambit’s cheeky charm to your walls with stylish pop art, all printed to order on museum-quality archival card of 310gsm, made from 100% cotton, with fine-art pigment inks for longevity.
So grab your brolly, polish your karate skills, and let The New Avengers add 70s style & fun to your home.
