To mark 50 years of the classic horror thriller, this new pop art print is a striking reimagining of the classic film poster for “Don’t Look Now” infused with Art & Hue’s signature halftone style. The haunting presence of the daughter, Christine, takes centre-stage, clad in her unmistakable red raincoat, against the backdrop of the city of Venice.
Starring Donald Sutherland & Julie Christie, the film has regularly appeared in “top film” polls in publications, including Time Out’s panel of 150 film industry experts who voted it the best British film of all time, and the BFI’s Sight & Sound magazine who placed it in the top 10 with “The Third Man” and “Kind Hearts & Coronets“.
Masterfully blending psychological horror with elements of the supernatural, to create an atmosphere of unease and dread that lingers throughout, “Don’t Look Now” is widely regarded as a groundbreaking work in the horror genre with its innovative storytelling and cinematography.
Based on a short story by Daphne du Maurier, the film’s use of recurring motifs and nonlinear editing techniques challenged traditional narrative structures and established Roeg as a visionary director.
With this pop art print capturing the eerie atmosphere of the film, the presence of Christine in her red coat, from the opening scenes of the film and throughout with reminder flashes of red, is prescient and enigmatic, foreshadowing the film’s final scenes and blurring reality and the supernatural.
The emotional depth of the film elevates it beyond typical horror fare, making it a film that continues to provoke discussion and analysis. Starting out as a portrayal of a couple’s struggle to cope with their grief, “Don’t Look Now” remains a culturally important work in the horror genre, influencing subsequent filmmakers and leaving an indelible mark on the cinematic landscape.
The two unnerving sisters, who play a crucial role in the film’s mysterious narrative, are also featured on Art & Hue’s pop art poster, portrayed by Hilary Mason & Clelia Mantania, alongside Julie Christie’s character, Laura Baxter.
Available in three sizes and 21 colour options, including one without text, the re-imagined poster for “Don’t Look Now” by Art & Hue is printed to order on museum-quality 310gsm archival matte paper, made from 100% ethically-sourced cotton, using fine-art pigment inks.

An official collaboration with Studiocanal, who recently restored the film in 4k Ultra-HD, this alternative movie poster print is part of the collection of stylish pop art by Art & Hue inspired by images from the photographic archives of cult films “Don’t Look Now” and “The Wicker Man“, in Art & Hue’s signature halftone Pop Art style (halftone is an age-old technique that uses dots to make up the image, similar to newspapers or comic books).
