Europasong
Originally created to bring the nations of Europe together after the Second World War, the contest has produced singers and groups who endure to this day, as well as creating its own brand of Euro-Speak song titles which transcend language barriers.
This stylish pop art print features a background that remixes the vintage song contest graphic that’s no longer used, but reworked in Art & Hue’s minimal style to read “E*U*R*O*P*A*S*O*N*G”.
With French singer Jean Philippe crooning into a microphone, he represented Switzerland in the 1962 competition with the song “Le Retour”.
Jean Philippe was the first performer to represent two different countries in the contest having previously represented France in 1959 with the song “Oui, oui, oui, oui” which finished in third place.
Also available as part of a trio.
