Most of the cookies used on this site are essential, and the site won’t work as expected without them. These cookies are set when you submit a form, login to your account, or interact with the site by doing something that goes beyond clicking on simple links.
Without them, you wouldn’t be able to add an item to your cart, checkout, or pay when you’re ready to order.
There are also some cookies used for security and to count visitor numbers. These are used in our legitimate interest in keeping the site running properly and protecting it from abuse. We only see aggregate visitor numbers, not identifying details, and, as it’s something we don’t like to be subjected to here at Art & Hue, we don’t use any cookies to follow you around the internet via social media sites or ads.

Art & Hue is based in the UK.
O. Constantine T/A Art & Hue is the Data Controller of this website and can be contacted via the contact form. Personal data is processed in accordance with the UK GDPR and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.
Art & Hue will not pass on your name, address, email address and/or telephone number to any third parties unless we have received authorisation from you to do so, or are required to do so by law.
If you request an alternative shipping method, your nominated courier may require a telephone number which Art & Hue will request from you at such time if needed.
When you place an order from Art & Hue, Art & Hue are the only people who will see your name & address details to send your order to (apart from the postman and the computers at the credit card payment processor).
We do not even get to see your credit card details as all payments are handled and processed by the secure online payment system which notifies us once an approved payment has been made.
Payments are managed via secure SSL/HTTPS by the computers at our card payment processor, based in the USA, which complies with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and UK Extension to protect your data.
Art & Hue uses a secure mailing service based in the USA that complies with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and UK Extension to protect your data. You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in the newsletter.
Email correspondence, which may include order confirmations, is stored using a cloud email service. Where this involves transferring data outside the UK, the transfer is securely protected by standard contractual clauses.
Email marketing campaigns sent by Art & Hue may contain tracking facilities within the actual email. Subscriber activity is tracked in our legitimate interest for future analysis and evaluation. Such tracked activity may include; the opening of emails, forwarding of emails, the clicking of links within the email content, times, dates and frequency of activity, & other statistics.
You can create an account when you place an order so the website can remember your details and your orders, this way you can refer to your previous orders and update your contact details whenever you wish.
If you have created an account and want to close it, let us know and we will remove your account and delete the details held in it. Order details are kept as described below. If you wish to know what identifying information Art & Hue holds about you, namely your order details and/or newsletter email address, let us know and we will email you the information.
Identifying information that may be collected whilst using this site:
We only use your information where we have a proper reason to. Orders and payments are processed because we can’t fulfil our contract with you without them. Tax and accounting records are kept because the law requires it. Newsletters are sent with your consent. Security, spam blocking, and visitor counting are done in our legitimate interest in keeping the site running properly and protecting it from abuse. Where we rely on legitimate interests you have the right to object, but we may continue processing if we have compelling grounds to do so, such as keeping the site and its users safe.
IP addresses and email addresses collected via forms are used to record consent for the mailing list, to reply to messages sent through the contact form, and occasionally to block abusive or harassing use of the site, including restricting access to the contact form. Where we have blocked access on that basis, we keep the relevant details for as long as the block remains in place.
To place an order you’ll need to give us your name, address, email and payment details, as we can’t take payment or send your order without them. Subscribing to the newsletter is entirely optional.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have anything inaccurate corrected, to have your information erased, to ask us to restrict or stop using it, to receive it in a portable format, and to object to anything we do on the basis of legitimate interests. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You can exercise any of these rights by getting in touch.
Art & Hue takes reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. If you have concerns about how we handle your data, you can contact us in the first instance. You also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. Any & all data is only retained for as long as is required – Art & Hue keeps transaction records for six years after the end of the relevant tax year to satisfy tax law, newsletter details until you unsubscribe and then for up to 30 days to action it, and contact enquiries for 12 months. Visitor log data used by our analytics service, which may include IP addresses, is kept for 28 days, after which only aggregate statistics remain.
We keep order details for as long as Art & Hue is trading, for historical reference, to record the work itself, for copyright and provenance, and for repeat orders placed years apart. If it ceases, they’re kept for a period sufficient to defend any legal claims relating to the work, which may extend to the duration of copyright, after which they’re reviewed and deleted, unless there’s a reason to keep them. Where a legal claim is anticipated or underway, we may keep relevant information for longer.
We may occasionally link to a third party website from a news piece, blog post, page feature, or any of the social networks Art & Hue uses; any third-party website will have their own cookies, privacy policy, and terms & conditions so Art & Hue is not responsible for the policies, or content, of any third-party site.
