Art & Hue at the BFI, Southbank London

On the 25th of October 2015, the BFI (British Film Institute) held a very special event to celebrate 50 years of Mrs Peel.

Following a screening of “The House That Jack Built” in their Southbank cinema, Dame Diana Rigg was interviewed on-stage by the BFI’s resident film & TV expert Dick Fiddy.

The BFI invited Art & Hue to install a pop-up exhibition of The Avengers pop art prints in the atrium gallery to coincide with the screening and interview, as well as supply prints to the BFI shop.

On a personal note, I had the absolute pleasure of being introduced to Diana Rigg in the BFI green room, presenting her with the prints (which thankfully she loved) and she selected pop art to take home with her.

Warm, welcoming, and charming, there is nothing like a Dame.

It was a very special day all round for fans of Diana Rigg and The Avengers – every 25th of October from now on should be known as “Mrs Peel Day”.
