Towering over a proposed downtown redevelopment in 1963, Abe Stark was the borough President of Brooklyn for most of the 1960s. His clothing store, which advertised on the Brooklyn Dodgers’ scoreboard at Ebbets Field, and his three-term presidency earned him the nickname of “Mr Brooklyn”.
